This piece was one of seven pieces included in a senior exhibition titled Too Close. The show was meant to highlight the overwhelming feeling of navigating art school as a Black individual in a program that was predominately white. The images depicts the exhaust that came with trying to maintain ones own Black identity without getting lost in overwhelming critiques . The central figure is near surrender as the pigment in her skin melts away representing the overpowering influence.
This framed print is 11 inches by 14 inches. This frame is black and able to be mounted on a wall.
